The Road to Terry - 046 - This Video Made Me Think

This video really moved me. Ace Hood is presented with a plaque from his wife to celebrate his accomplishments. As an independent artist he managed to net over 100 million streams for multiple records. That’s an incredible feat for any artist. I know artists that have millions of streams, and seeing what it takes to get to 1 million gives me an appreciation for the work it takes to get to 100 million.

Ace deserves this. His tears helps me remember that I should slow down and reflect on the accomplishments. I won’t be here forever, and I should appreciate the things I’ve done. If I put it in perspective, I’m far from 1 million, but I’ve gotten to hundreds of thousands as a 1-man show. I produced, wrote, performed, mixed, mastered, and marketed all of the songs. That’s no small task. Where the energy comes from is beyond me. The reality is I don’t need to minimize my work. Watch the video below.
