The Road to Terry - 047 - Life is Fragile

I haven’t been writing in a while. There are two reasons really. Winter break was a nice time to break my routine, and I wasn’t really feeling it.

The past few weeks I’ve had thoughts about life’s fragility. I thought about the multitude of things I find important. I also thought about the things that we find important on this planet. Every one has the right to give importance to whatever they want. It just gave me pause that so many things are important to me.

I wondered about the legacy of those who we call important today. Leonardo Da Vinci is very important, but I wonder how important he was in his day. 1000 years from now, when the world looks very different, will he still be remembered?

Life is fragile because as important as it is today, that importance can evaporate tomorrow. Something new takes it’s place. All of these thoughts made me reset my focus on the things I really think are valuable.
